Educational Philosophy

We have three major tenets of our philosophy: academics meet art, inquiry drives learning, and movement is essential.

We believe in art for art’s sake. Integrating the arts into our core content creates deeper connections in our students’ brains, causing them to remember what they’ve learned. Academics meet art in our curriculum.

Inquiry is a gift. A motivator. A key to new ideas and inventions! Learning at Integrated Stage is inquiry-based.

Research confirms that movement and learning are connected. Embracing that brain science means that our learners are moving, whether in a tutoring session or a recap from a lesson that’s been taught. Movement is essential.

Our Founder’s Vision

Education has always been a home for me. As a kid, I would research using my dad’s 1964 World Book Encyclopedias and write reports…for fun. I always knew I’d be a teacher. I started this journey in 2007. But the system I started in doesn’t work for today’s students.

Integrated Stage is my step toward fixing that. Oftentimes, students sit in desks and listen to lectures all day long. But that isn’t the only way! They should be moving, asking questions, getting messy, and exploring! Hands-on, arts-integrated, cross-curricular lessons are my jam, and it’s in everything that we do.
